Apple may soon offer the first smartphone to come with a 3-G or 4-G LTE capability.
The iPhone 8, 9, and 10 have a 5G LTE network, while the iPhone X will feature a 4G LTE band.
The company is also planning to introduce the iPhone 8 and iPhone Xs Max in the coming months.
The new iPhones will have “3G, 4G, and LTE bands,” according to Apple’s CEO Tim Cook.
A “4G” and “3” are the company’s terms for 3G and 4G networks.
“Apple is not announcing the network,” said a company representative.
The 3G/4G LTE bands are currently available only in the iPhone 7s, 8, and 9.
The “5G” band is available to iPhone 7 and 8 Plus users in Europe and Canada, and the iPhone SE.
The 4G/3G LTE frequencies are currently only available in the iPad Pro and iPad Mini.
The Apple iPhone 8 will be available in Europe, Canada, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.
A spokesperson for Samsung said the company was in the process of making changes to its iPhone lineup, which include a new generation of Galaxy phones and an upgrade to the Galaxy S8.
The Galaxy S9 will be a limited edition model and will be limited to 5,000 units.
The S9 is expected to be released sometime this year.
The Samsung Galaxy S10, S10+, and S10+ will be in stores on November 9.
A Galaxy S12 is expected in late 2018.
